Quality management is the set of planned and systematic actions or procedures necessary to ensure that a product or service will meet certain standards. Quality management is not the quality control of a product or the quality of construction. It has a broader meaning and refers to the organization and functioning of the entire operation. ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality. Quality Management Systems ISO 22000
The ISO 22000 is an international food safety management system. The aim is to achieve food products that are safe for the consumer. The system can be applied to companies of all sizes.
The Regulation 852/2004 of the European Parliament, requires the implementation, maintenance and review of a Food Safety Management System, which includes the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) for businesses manufacturing, process, produce, package, store, transport, distribute, or offer for sale food. Included i.e. packaging facilities, food production workshops and industries, restaurants, supermarkets, catering, hotels that have foodservice etc.
